• Identify and define the OPTEL’s “frequency” terms.  

• Connect these terms to an understanding of language acquisition as nonlinear, spiraling, and dynamic.  

• Apply learning to a vignette.  

• Make an action plan for collecting observation evidence.   

Purpose and Audience 

Purpose and Audience: This presentation helps educators develop a shared understanding of terms denoting frequency on the OPTEL. It is most appropriate for educators with some foundational training in the OPTEL who are ready to dive into these terms on the tool.
