Objectives 

The objectives of the slide deck are for participants to: 

• Understand the structure of the OPTEL.  

• Review the components of Pages 1 and 2 of the OPTEL.  

• Identify priority areas for further training. 

Purpose and Audience 

This presentation provides a high-level overview of the OPTEL tool, especially pages 1 and 2 (the pages where observers rate students’ expressive and receptive skills). It is most appropriate for audiences with minimal prior experience with the OPTEL.
