Career Technical Education Applications
The Preliminary or Clear Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential authorizes the holder to teach the subjects named on the credential in grades twelve and below and in classes organized primarily for adults. Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credentials are issued to individuals who meet the requirements listed below and are recommended by a Commission-approved program sponsor, LACOE.
The application materials differ depending on whether you are considered a first-time applicant in California, you have a document on file with the commission, or you are clearing your preliminary credential.

This form is for applicants that have completed all coursework and credential requirements and are applying for a Clear Adult Education Credential.
