Adult Education Credential Applications

The Preliminary or Clear Designated Subjects Adult Education (AE) Teaching Credential authorizes the holder to teach the subjects named on the credential in courses organized primarily for adults. Designated Subjects AE Teaching Credentials are issued to individuals who meet the requirements listed in the application packets, and are recommended by a Commission-approved program sponsor, LACOE.

The application materials differ depending on whether you are considered a first-time applicant in California, you have a document on file with the commission, or you are clearing your preliminary credential.
